New Tatsuya Ichihashi Wanted Poster
It’s been a year since the terrible murder of Lindsay Hawker, a 22 year old English woman, in Tokyo. Those familiar with the case know that the alleged killer Tastuya Ichihashi is still at large. Recently the Hawker family have returned to Japan to see how they can help bring the killer to justice and I noticed from the newspaper reports that they reluctant to criticize the police for their inability to apprehend Lindsay’s killer. I assume this reluctance is due to a fear of offending the police and thereby losing their help as the police and their incompetence deserve criticism. Not only did a group of policemen let him escape barefoot but it has been a year and it seems that no progress has been made in finding him.
The police do some to be making some effort though and have recently released a new ridiculous poster with an image of what Tatsuya Ichihashi would look like as a woman. That’s bring the Japanese fetish for cosplay a little too far.
Anyway, the hunt is still on, and I hope that he is found. One Japanese resident has taken the initiative of putting his wanted poster on a t-shirt and you can wear this t-shirt in the hope of spreading awareness that this suspect is still at large.
