Harley Davidson Exhibition in Yokohama
BankArt 1929 Yokohama will be a hosting a free exhibition detailing the history of the iconic Harley Davison motorcycles from July 9th to July 21st. The exhibition will include a selection of classic bikes, old advertising materials, Harley paintings and more. One area of the exhibition will focus on Japan’s relationship with the Harley fron the early Show period to today.

Just a few days ago, I was telling a friend about my experience of seeing a large group of Harley Davidson riders in the street of Seattle many years ago. They looked cooool! I haven’t been to BankArt 1929 yet. Maybe I will go and see this exhibition. Thanks for the info!

Looks interesting. To bad I won’t be there to see it. My best rides were in Japan. I used see actor Fujii Tatsuya on his harley in passing when riding in Zushi. There was an interesting history between Harley and Japan back in the 1930’s. The bike was known as a “Rikuo”. Loosely translated it means “Road King”. Seemingly the first Harley Road king was made in Japan! Most Harley fans aren’t aware of this and will become very heated if you told hem such. Japanese harley riders are a cool bunch of folks.
